AMERICAN BARBEQUE FRANCHISE
American Barbeque International is an equal opportunity franchisor that offers opportunity to serious-minded entrepreneurs. ABI’s selection process seeks to attract entrepreneurs who share ABI’s values of integrity, trust, respect, team spirit, and focus on the customer.
FRANCHISE SELECTION PROCESS
1. Submit a completed application form. (To download application double-click below).
2. Submit balance sheet and income statement for two calendar years. You may consider using the services of an accountant in preparing the documents.
3. Submit two letters of references from any two of the following: supplier, banker, business partner, or accountant.
4. Submit a typewritten or computer generated letter of introduction about you and your company. Please tell us about your work experience, management skills, and business development capability.
5. Submit a statement attesting to availability of resources necessary to satisfy the franchise financial requirement as described in the Franchise Program.
As soon as the referenced documents are received and verified by ABI’s affiliate in your country, a face-to-face meeting will be scheduled in your country.
6. As soon as ABI's management attests that the necessary criteria have been met; you will be required to submit a detailed business plan within 6 to 8 weeks, to be followed by a second all-day meeting in your country to be conducted by ABI’s affiliate.
7. If your application is approved, ABI will issue a “Letter of Intent” to you within 10 business days of the approval.
8. Following approval, a third meeting will be scheduled for signing the franchise agreement and for payment of the franchise fee of twenty-five thousand American dollars ($25,000) to a designated bank account. Because the franchise agreement is a legal document, we encourage every prospective franchisee to bring a barrister/attorney along at the third meeting to review the document before it is signed.
